Technical Consultant Opportunities

The Technical Consultant is an individual contributor responsible for managing small projects as well as portions of large implementations independently. The individual in this role will have very strong communication skills and a a high level of comfort interacting with others as they will be expected to provide daily guidance to internal consultants as well as to clients. The Technical Consultant will take personal ownership of the success of deliverables and projects.

As a Technical Consultant, you are immersed in all aspects of our end-to-end development and solution implementation process which will include:

• Meeting with the client to understand their business and technical challenges;
• Developing a plan to solve their problems;
• Identifying the appropriate resources and successfully execute on the plan;
• Ensuring that the plan supports the client’s goals and expectations, and be willing to make adjustments to exceed these expectations. Everything you do is geared toward achieving bottom-line results for our clients.

Essential Responsibilities of Position:

• Actively participate in discussions with client and project teams. Understand and communicate client needs, project team's goals, and individual role in building custom and packaged client solutions.
• Manage and deliver small projects independently. Lead other Consultants in delivering what the client needs; take ownership of successful completion of deliverables and projects.
• Design, code, and conduct unit-testing modules based on the requirements outlined in the specification documentation under the supervision of senior project resources.
• Manage the development of functional and technical specifications, unit and system test scripts, and deployment plans.
• Develop project estimates.  
• Own project deliverables. (i.e. status reports, documentation, test plans).
• Facilitate functional and technical sessions and weekly status meetings with clients, including the ability to drive a client to decisions.
• Identify and manage new opportunities with the client and pursue these opportunities.
• Ensure timely issue and project risk resolution.
• Serve as a mentor to Consultants and Associate Consultants as appropriate. 

Required Minimum Qualifications:  

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related field.
• A minimum of two years of practical business and/or technical experience, including technical expertise in: Microsoft SQL, SQL Reporting Services, Microsoft Development (COM, VB, .NET, C#))
• Prior consulting experience; demonstrated ability to work and manage projects independently and ability to communicate with the client and project team. 
• Significant product and domain expertise and knowledge of relevant business, product or technology in a core technology and/or product.
• Prior experience with Microsoft Technology Stack (i.e. SharePoint, BizTalk, and Performance Point) is preferred.
• Experience in CRM systems (i.e. Onyx/Consona Software, SalesLogix, Microsoft Dynamics CRM or ERP systems (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics AX).
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
