Green Beacon's Project Delivery Methodology is the body of repeatable best practices and procedures that ensure delivery excellence and consistency. Our methodology consists of a defined delivery process and tools that enable our project teams to implement and repeat best practices.
The Green Beacon ERP Implementation Methodology encompasses the following critical success factors:'
Client project team involvement. The client members of the implementation project team are critical to the success of any project. The client team members will own functional areas of the system, which will lead to the client owning their system. The client team members will actually lead the implementation of all functional areas of the system. The Green Beacon team is there to train, assist and guide the client team members.
Phased Implementations. In order to undertake and successfully complete an entire ERP system implementation it is imperative to implement the system in small enough pieces for the client organization to absorb. Due to integration and business constraints it is sometimes necessary to implement larger pieces of the full solution. It is important to look at all factors when working with a client to determine the proper phasing of their ERP system.
Extensive Application Expertise. In order to get the most out of your ERP investment it is important that the implementer has a deep knowledge of the base application. All too often functionality is reproduced in a customization, when that functionality actually resided in the base application. The Green Beacon philosophy is to focus on out-of-the box implementations, and use customizations to deliver company specific functionality that provides true business value.
Extensive Technology Expertise. As stated in the previous point Green Beacon focuses on out-of-the box implementations. Typically every client has business processes that are not met with out-of-the box functionality. In many cases these are the business processes that provide a differentiator in a client's market space. We believe that these are the right customizations to make to a system. Our technology specialists and developers are highly skilled in the technology surrounding the ERP solution. With this knowledge we can make sound decisions on how the customizations should be made to provide superior results, while keeping in mind the ability to upgrade the base ERP application.
Quick Wins vs. Long Term Objectives. Green Beacon uses a series of Conference Room Pilots (CRP) to implement functionality in phases. The 1st project phase and ensuing Conference Room Pilot encompasses the routine or less complex processes that most business undertake on a regular basis. We then move to automate and test the more complex business processes in 2nd phase of a project. Conference Room Pilot 2 ensures that the most complex company processes are handled within the ERP system. Conference Room Pilot 3 allows for a complete test of all processes routine and complex using the clients data. Based on the level of project complexity there are times when CRP 2 and 3 are combined.
