Daniel R. Santell

Daniel Santell brings extensive entrepreneurial skills and consulting business experience the Green Beacon team.

Mr. Santell has over twenty years of experience in IT. he was most recently the Chief Executive Officer of Qstrategies, a high tech consulting and product organization in California. From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Santell was Vice President of Worldwide Services for InterWorld Corporation. From 1995 to 1996, he was Director of the North American Client Services Division for SSA Corporation; from 1992 to 1996, he was Vice President of Product Development at Platinum Software; and from 1983 to 1992 he was a Manager at Andersen Consulting LLP.

Mr. Santell received his B.S.E. from Purdue University and his M.B.A. from the University of Washington.

 

Gerald J. Holtz

Gerald J. Holtz, C.P.A., brings over 40 years of experience in the Tax and Accounting field to the Green Beacon Advisory team.

Mr. Holtz is a retired partner of Arthur Andersen. When he joined Andersen's Boston office in 1958, he specialized in taxation, and served as Head of the Boston Office Tax Division, Regional Tax Practice Director, and Director of the Worldwide Tax Practice Review Program. From 1992 until 2000 he taught accounting at the Management and Law Schools of Boston College.

Mr. Holtz has been active in professional, civic, and charitable organizations. He is a former member of the Board of Trustees of Colby College and currently serves on the Board of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Penikese Island School, and Salt Pond Areas Bird Sanctuaries.

Mr. Holtz attended Colby College (BA, 1952), Bentley School of Accounting (CA, 1953), and Harvard Business School (MBA, 1958, Baker Scholar).

 

Eric S. Merrifield, Jr.

Eric Merrifield brings both an ASP perspective and CRM market experience to the Green Beacon advisory team.

Mr. Merrifield has specialized in IT businesses since 1990. He has consulted to and worked for an array of large technology leaders from Microsoft, Accenture, Sun, Qualcomm and Onyx Software to early-stage technology innovators such as Engyro, Flatrock, WebPE, and Xevo. Mr. Merrifield was a co-founder of the ASP (application services provider) Industry Consortium, a global advocacy group for the ASP industry with over 800 member companies in 2001.

Mr. Merrifield previously directed the ASP division of Onyx Software, a leading CRM software company, establishing Onyx as a thought and revenue-leader in hosted CRM solutions. He also managed the Onyx International Consulting from its inception, where he was responsible for all consultants and delivery outside of North America. Before Onyx, Mr. Merrifield was a senior manager for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).

Mr. Merrifield received a BA degree from Georgetown University.

 

John F. McQuillan, Jr.

John McQuillan brings entrepreneurial expertise to the Green Beacon advisory team. Mr. McQuillan is the President and CEO of Triumvirate Environmental, Inc. Under his leadership, Triumvirate has become one of the fastest-growing environmental firms in the northeastern U.S.

As an active participant in the environmental business community, Mr. McQuillan was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Environmental Business Council. He is a certified Healthcare Environmental Manager and is a regular presenter at management workshops and environmental conferences.

Mr. McQuillan received a BA in biochemistry and government from Bowdoin College.

 

Richard D. Olson, Jr.

Richard Olson brings a wealth of financial development, sales, small business development, and customer service to the Green Beacon advisory team.

Mr. Olson is the Consumer Market Executive of Bank of America's Metro Boston Market - the 8th largest market in the franchise consisting of 30 offices, $4.2 Billion in consumer deposits, 320 employees, and revenues in excess of $225 Million. With overall management responsibility for the Market, he drives financial performance, sales, marketing, customer commitment, community partnership and business development.

Mr. Olson previously served as the Director of Planning, Analysis and Channel Management for Fleet Boston Financial's Community Investment Group (CIG), where he was responsible for business analysis, sales goals, incentive compensation, marketing communications, project and program management, and human resources and administration planning to support CIG's nine business units and key Bank of America's corporate partners.

Mr. Olson received a BS in Finance from Bentley College, and has completed additional course work at the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business.

 

Joseph F. Haley

Joseph Haley brings over 35 years of strategic planning, business leadership, marketing and sales experience to the Green Beacon advisory team.

Mr. Haley is the president and owner of the Oasis Guesthouse, a 30-room hotel in Boston catering to professionals and travelers. Since its inception, he has inspired a relentless commitment to a superior customer experience for the over 23,000 travelers that have stayed at the Oasis.

Mr. Haley previously worked for the Gillette Corporation for over 10 years as a Sr. Financial Analyst for New Product Development. He is active in several community and professional organizations including the Fenway Planning Task Force, Fenway Civic Association and the American Bed and Breakfast Association.

Mr. Haley is a graduate of Xavier University in Nova Scotia with a BS in Accounting and Economics.
